ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Ellaine! I am a multidisciplinary creative and visual arts educator from the Philippines.
Welcome to my online artchiving space! Here reside folded Kawasaki roses and cicadas, large paintings on even larger walls, digital sketches of flowers with women and aliens on the foreground, and stories of when I had adored, despised, and reclaimed living.
Thank you for visiting :)

scapes
Inspired by the Japanese paper folding tradition known as origami, my paperscapes begin with hand-sculpting paper botanicals, animals, and structures, which are then assembled into and photographed as a single scene. The chosen image is used as a reference in the creation of multicolored and semi-realistic acrylic paintings.
With three disciplines combined, slowness in this artistic process is deliberate and celebrated, arguably more than the finished artwork itself.

murals
I was able to cross the mural-making box off my [paint]bucket list back in 2022. With the assistance of my incredibly talented sister, Paige, I’ve had the privilege of beautifying walls for a local restaurant, a robotics training classroom, and a private residence in Metro Manila.
My biggest project to this date is a superhero-themed gallery style mural wall that is approximately 18m in width and 5.5m in height.
